In a never before seen set of events which left people stunned as they unravelled infront of them, a man landed on the pitch in a parachute during Inter Milan’s match this gone weekend.
The incident happened in the 43rd minute of the encounter, right after the visiting side had been awarded a penalty. With Romelu Lukaku stepping up to take the penalty, play was abruptly stopped as the man ended up landing on Sassuolo’s Mapei Stadium leading to the tie being shortly halted as the ground team and security officials rushed on to tackle him and escort him out of the park.
The match was resumed there after with Romelu Lukaku going onto score the ensuing penalty to give Inter Milan a 3-1 lead against Sassuolo heading into the culmination of the first half. However from a position of complete dominance, Inter Milan started waning come the second half with the hosts leaving no stone unturned in a bid to make a comeback into the encounter.
Despite going ahead 4-1 as they got their second penalty of the match which was duly dispatched by Lautaro Martinez, Inter Milan faced a jittery end to the fixture as the home side expedited their efforts of snagging goals. It saw them get two with Gilp Duricic and Boga both scoring for the side before Inter Milan managed to hang onto the barest of margins to pull off a 4-3 win.
The three points were critical to the side after their first defeat of the season previously had seen them slip into second place with Juventus moving into the annuls of the points tally.
