Mario Beloltelli is a well-known loose cannon. Football is famous for providing an endless supply of characters like that. However, the Italian striker manages to stand out from them all following his never-ending eccentricities on and off the field.

In a classic exhibition of Balotelli’s outlandish incongruency, the Italian international challenged a bar owner to drive his moped into the sea. The incident occurred at Mergellina, on the coast of Naples, according to Football Italia.

Balotelli posted the video on his Instagram with the caption: “Good morning!”. The Bar Owner can be seen riding the moped in his underwear (Balotelli finally meets his match). Onlookers gathered to watch the bizarre incident and even cheered on. Balotelli was filmed laughing as he handed over the cash to the bar owner before lighting a cigarette.

“My moped was only worth €600 anyway.” ‘The bar owner said when reporters arrived at the scene. Luckily the man was unharmed and even retrieved his moped, remarkably still in working condition!
