Watch: Oleksandr Zinchencko comically celebrates after Ukraine qualify for Euro 2020 after their victory against Portugal last night.

Ukraine booked their tickets to Euro 2020 last night after beating Portugal 2-1. Roman Yaremchuk put Ukraine ahead less than 10 minutes into the match, and Andriy Yarmolenko doubled the lead before half-time.

Taras Stepanenko’s handball in the 72nd minute evicted him from the match and gave Portugal a penalty. Cristiano Ronaldo converted from the spot to score his milestone 700th goal. However, Ukraine held on with 10 men and eventually won the match.

Following Friday night’s 2-0 win over Lithuania, Ukraine knew a win over Portugal would secure their place at the EUROS and win they did. That result left them top of Group B with 19 points from seven matches, which moved them eight points clear of Monday’s opponents who occupy second spot.

With the top spot guaranteed, Ukraine sealed their place in the Euro 2020. The entire nation was jubilant. However, there was perhaps no one more happier than Manchester City star Oleksandr Zinchenko who took over various hosts along with his teammates to celebrate passionately.

“WE’RE AT THE EURO!” Zinchenko repeatedly screamed throughout his wild celebrations. Clearly, appearing at the quadrennial event is a dream come true for the young lad who has already won everything in England with Manchester City.

Hopefully this is the first of many such hilarious celebrations from the young leftback.
