While it is hard to hard to rate players across all generations in the Premier League itself, let alone the game of football in its entirety, Daily Mirror have attempted to rank the 50 greatest players that have plied their trade in the Premier League.

The ranking has its own criteria to follow in order to achieve a result that is as fair as possible. They write:

“Longevity matters. The longer a player has been in the division then the more chance they’ve got to impress.

“We’re also not considering anyone who has been in the league fewer than two years.

“Success is a big factor. So we’re talking league titles, PFA Player of the Year awards, Golden Boots, Golden Glove awards etc.

“Absolutely nothing that happened before January 1, 2010 is taken into account. Nothing. Not a thing. As far as we’re concerned, these players were all created on 01/01/2010.”

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
