Watch Oscar Plano’s look of despair after being nutmegged by Lionel Messi

Watch Oscar Plano’s look of despair after being nutmegged by Lionel Messi in the La Liga match between Barcelona and Real Valladolid.

Lionel Messi recently won his 3rd consecutive Golden shoe. However, a 4th award on the trot looked impossible considering the Argentine had to miss much of the first few months and only made sparring appearances for the Spanish champion.

Messi though, seems to be in top gear at the moment after fully recovering from his injuries. He has now scored at least a goal in 4 consecutive matches in all competitions including two last night in the match against Real Valladolid.

Messi’s dominance on the field was not just about the numbers he racked up. It was also the amount of destruction he left in his wake. So much so that Valladolid’s Oscar Piano looked like he wanted to give up football altogether.

Lionel Messi struck twice in the La Liga encounter last night. Both his goals came on the other side of each halves. Apart from the goals, Messi also assisted Arturo Vidal and Luis Suarez to help Barcelona win 5-1. However, that was not the only magic produced by the Argentine last night.

In the 36th minute of the match, Lionel Messi produced one of his trademark nutmegs on attacking midfielder Oscar Piano. Piano was left distraught after realising what happened and just stood there with his head and shoulders dropped.

Clement Lenglet scored Barcelona’s opener with a volley in the 2nd minute of the match. After that, it was the Lionel Messi show. The Argentine has had a slow start to the season. However, it looks like he is truly up and running now.
