Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer

It was like a dream come true for tennis fans; two of the biggest stars of our generation, sharing the court together, an this time from the same side of the net.

It was magic, seeing Nadal and Federer fist bump each other, egg each other on and share moments of brilliance on the court while playing for each other.

Querrey and Sock were needed just to complete the story, but they did more than just that. They were no mere spectators, instead they took the attack to probably the most celebrated doubles pairing of all time.

Federer and Nadal just managed to scrape through, winning the tie for Europe, 6-4, 1-6, 10-5 in Prague.

Coming into the match, everyone expected Federer and Nadal to fill our playlists with videos for a lifetime, and they obliged big time. And videos not just in terms of ‘Tennis excellence’, but moments, small interactions between the duo that Tennis fans would die for.

One such amazing moment took place during the first set, when Federer was serving at 2-3. Federer served it down the T and the return was going to be a easy overhead for Federer, but Nadal suddenly jumped from his crouched net position, and somehow managed to backtrack and ‘steal'(if you may) Federer’s overhead put away.

Federer’s reaction was wonderful after the point and the duo shared a quick laugh, as Nadal’s sudden movement meant that Federer had to do some crouching of his own in order to not collide with Nadal.

Federer even tweeted about the incident, saying that he still needed to look after his back!

Check out the video of the incident here:

Tennis fans all around the globe would be hoping for the Laver Cup to continue every year so that such instances of Federer-Nadal sharing the court become at least an annual affair.
