Sarfaraz Ahmed hits back at Shoaib Akhtar after the latter criticised him post Pakistan’s loss against India at The Old Trafford, Manchester

Ever since Pakistan’s loss against India at The Old Trafford, Manchester their skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has faced outright backlash and criticism from the so-called fans. They have not left any stones unturned to miss even the slightest of opportunities to mock at the wicket-keeper batsman post the 89-run loss on June 16.
Numerous videos and memes have been circulated on the various social media sites, targeting Sarfaraz in particular primarily over his lack of fitness.
Former Pakistan fast bowler, Shoaib Akhtar had also posted a video over his fitness concerns, via his YouTube channel, after Pakistan’s loss against West Indies in their first match of the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2019.
Post the team’s loss against India too (on June 16), he had posted a video wherein he called Sarfaraz a ‘brainless captain’, primarily because he had opted to bowl first against a solid Indian batting line-up.
Sarfaraz hits back at Shoaib Akhtar
When asked about the heavy criticisms he is facing from fans and former players back home, Sarfaraz initially commented that he would rather not speak on the issue, else he will become subject to yet another criticism.
He however, although indirectly targeted Shoaib Akhtar, commenting that for some people we are not players. The visibly angry Sarfaraz, further exclaimed that some people are behaving like Gods, sitting in front of their television sets.
He further requested the media persons and the general people on social media, to restrain themselves from circulating abusive videos of fans venting their frustrations, and that they too are disappointed with their dismal performance in the World Cup so far akin their fans back home.
Pakistan have, however made a brilliant comeback by defeating a formidable South African team by 49 runs at the Lord’s in London, to still stay alive in the World Cup.
