With Australia losing the third Test of the ongoing series against India at Melbourne, it has once again highlighted their all-round issues. A problem whose solution was seemed to have been found after the Perth Test win has given the impression of occurring again.
While criticism is reaching the Australian team from all sorts of sources, former Australia cricketer Shane Warne bringing an all new perspective behind Australian team’s woes doesn’t sound right for the team.

The legendary bowler pointed out the failure of the bowling unit as one of the reasons behind Australia’s recent dismal performance. Speaking during the post-match show on Fox Sports, Warne claimed to have done a forensic research on the current Australian team.
In an outright attack on the Australian team, Warne said that the batsmen are not solely to be responsible. Citing the fact that the oppositions have made big first-innings scores against Australia in the recent times, Warne highlighted each one of Australia’s current bowlers’ below par performance.
Talking specifically about new-ball bowlers in Mitchell Starc (47) and Josh Hazlewood (40), Warne drew the panel’s attention to their respective average which was according to him ‘not good enough’.
Warne also questioned Australian bowlers’ participation for he he felt that they are letting the opposition score huge scores, especially in the first innings.
