WATCH: Vettel catches a fly during post race press conference, shows it to a confused Hamilton

Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton have been involved in a lot of fiery exchanges during race press conferences.

And while all the ‘trash talk’ still comes around once in a while, this season has been a little different with respect to their relationship on that press conference table.

Earlier in the year, we saw Vettel defend Hamilton for his ‘d**khead’ comment, but last night was something really special, a moment to behold for Vettel and Hamilton fans alike.

Kimi Raikkone was busy answering questions directed to him while Vettel was in his own world, laying eyes on a fly that was doing the rounds near the press conference dais.

Vettel took a hand out and caught it with a super quick action of the hand.

The quickness of the action startled Hamilton a bit, who then turned to Vettel to see if he actually just caught a fly from thin air.

Vettel showed it to Hamilton and the Brit was pretty amused with what had just transpired, with both championship rivals sharing a quick smile, in what was probably the most ‘romantic’ moment of the season so far.

Hamilton goes into summer break with a comfortable 24 point lead, the largest of the season.

Mercedes would be the happier out of the two teams, but they’ll need to find that momentum once again, after having gained it in Germany and Hungary.

With 9 races to go in the season, Vettel and Ferrari will quickly need to rectify things and find that momentum in the next few races, so as to close down that large gap and take the championship deep into the season.

Ferrari will have to wary of not giving away the championship in the second half of the season, just like last year.

Interesting times ahead.
