Virat Kohli and Ritika Sajdeh celebrate Rohit Sharma’s half-century: The Indian vice-captain entertained one and all in Mumbai.

During the third T20I of the ongoing West Indies’ tour of India in Mumbai, India captain Virat Kohli was seen giving a standing ovation to his deputy Rohit Sharma after the latter completed his 19th T20I half-century.

Playing in front of his home crowd, Sharma also acknowledged the applauds from his wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira Sharma who were present in the stands.

Opening the batting with Lokesh Rahul, Sharma took the attack on the opposition bowlers from the word go. Initiating the onslaught, Sharma was later joined by Rahul as the duo put together a 135-run opening partnership.

Having scored 72 runs in the powerplay, Sharma and Rahul laid a fitting foundation for the others to follow. Sharma completed his half-century in the eighth over after he hit West Indies spinner Kharry Pierre for the second six in the same over.

It was Sharma’s attempt to continue the run-flow which saw him getting out to West Indies fast bowler Kesrick Williams in the 12th over. Having skied a delivery, Sharma had to walk back to the pavilion after West Indies spinner Hayden Walsh Jr. grabbed a fine catch.

Having scored 71 (34) with the help of six fours and five sixes, Sharma played a fine hand in the Indian innings.
