WATCH: Evin Lewis' unbelievable effort denies Rohit Sharma of six against Kharry Pierre in Mumbai

Evin Lewis’ unbelievable effort denies Rohit Sharma of six: The West Indian fielder put on display an incredible fielding effort.

During the third T20I of the ongoing West Indies’ tour of India in Mumbai, West Indies batsman Evin Lewis was airborne to save what would have been a six off India vice-captain Rohit Sharma.

It all happened on the second delivery of the fifth over when Sharma rocked back on a short delivery from West Indies spinner Kharry Pierre to pull him with dominance.

Lewis, who was fielding at deep mid-wicket, jumped in the air to grab a stunner with his right hand. However, it was in a bid to maintain his balance that Lewis had to throw the ball inside the playing area before crossing the boundary ropes.

Lewis having the presence of mind to throw the ball inside speaks highly about the effort. India batsmen Sharma and and Lokesh Rahul ran a couple of runs before the ball was thrown back to West Indies wicket-keeper Nicholas Pooran.

After West Indies captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and invited India in to bat, both Sharma and Rahul went all guns blazing against the opposition bowlers. In the middle of a 100+ opening partnership, both the batsmen have scored individual half-centuries.
