Virat Kohli has been in sublime touch on this tour of South Africa, greeting cricket fans all around the world with some exquisite shots in both the Test and the ODI series.

He has been caressing the ball through the covers for fun, and also flicking it to mid-wicket whenever and however he feels like.

But Kohli got a little too carried away today, attempting one of the most bizarre shots you’ll ever see.

Rabada was giving Virat a lot to think about in the initial overs, having almost trapped right in front, if not for that faint little inside-edge.

Rabada was cranking it up to Virat, feeding him with some short stuff, making him sway out of the way a couple of times.

The Indian skipper was found ducking to a short delivery, but then ultimately tried playing a upper cut whilst almost sitting on the ground.

Virat and Shikhar immediately shared a smile, with Kohli laughing about what had just transpired.

Match Situation:

With Rohit having departed early, thanks to that nagging line from Rabada. Since then, Kohli and Dhawan have been in complete control of this Indian innings, scoring at almost a run a ball to stamp their authority on this 3rd ODI.

India are currently 87/1 in 16 overs, with the Dhawan-Kohli partnership flourishing big time.

With Rahane, Dhoni, Jadhav and Pandya to come in, India would be targeting that total of 300, with their wrist spinners waiting to strangle the South African batting in the 2nd innings.
