Virat Kohli discloses stance on playing against Pakistan: The Indian captain opened up on the much-talked about contemporary topic.
Post the unfortunate Pulwama attacks, there have been lot of speculations on whether India should play Pakistan in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 or not. The reactions regarding the same saw numerous eminent personalities speak on the matter.

While some of the Indian cricketers believed that the India should abolish the match, the others were of the opinion that sports and politics should be kept apart. While BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) have asked the ICC to sever ties with countries which sponsor terrorism, they haven’t made public any final decision on the World Cup match.
“We stand by what BCCI decides”
Speaking to the media during the pre-series (against Australia) press conference at Visakhapatnam, India captain Virat Kohli disclosed the Indian team’s stance on playing against Pakistan.
“Our sincere condolences to the families of CRPF soldiers who lost their lives [in Pulwama Attack]. We are really shocked about what happened and really sad about the incident that happened.
“Our stand is simple. We stand by what the nation wants to do and what the BCCI decides to do. Whatever the government and the board decides, we will go by that and respect that,” Kohli was quoted as saying. Watch the full video below:

“The 16th of June is very far away. We will take a call on that much later and in consultation with the government,” CoA chief Vinod Rai was quoted as saying after a recent BCCI meeting.
