WATCH: Virat Kohli joins Ravindra Jadeja in sword celebration post Jadeja's 13th Test half-century

Virat Kohli joins Ravindra Jadeja in sword celebration: The Indian captain was seen rejoicing after the all-rounder completed his half-century.

During the second day of the third Test of the ongoing South Africa’s tour of India in Ranchi, India captain Virat Kohli joined hands with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja after the latter completed his half-century.

It all happened on the third delivery of the 112th over when Jadeja ran a couple of runs off South Africa spinner George Linde to register his 13th Test half-century.

As is the norm after the southpaw reaches a batting landmark, he was seen putting on display the “sword celebration”. The only difference this time was that captain Virat Kohli also joined Jadeja from the dressing room.

Starting with unleashing the imaginary sword, Kohli was gesturing towards Jadeja with respect to riding on a horse. Having watched Kohli’s support, Jadeja continued the celebration before the duo and other Indian cricketers were seen laughing out loud.

Coming in to bat at No. 6 in the 76th over, Jadeja shared a couple of vital partnerships with opening batsman Rohit Sharma (212) and wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha (24).

Continuing his supreme batting form in Test matches, Jadeja scored 51 (119) with the help of four fours before getting out on the next delivery after crossing the 50-run mark.

In the last two years, Jadeja has scored 636 runs in 14 Tests at an average of 48.92 and a strike rate of 60.05 including a century and five half-centuries.

After Kohli won the toss and chose to bat, India have scored 497/9 dec. in 116.3 overs. Apart from Sharma and Jadeja, vice-captain also contributed with his 11th Test century, 115 (192), with the help of 17 fours and a six.
