The West Ham fullback was at loggerheads with Grealish all throughout the match
Ever since he’s made a foray into West Ham’s squad, Vladimir Coufal has fast emerged as a favourite of the club’s raucous supporters. The fullback has slotted into the club like a fish takes to water with his versatile skill set seeing him make his presence felt all over the park for the side.
Another reason why he’s fast endeared himself to the club’s ardent supporters is his fortitude and grit. He’s never been one to back down from confrontation, a player who loves doing the dirty work at the back for the club.
The same was on show during his most recent outing for West Ham as well. The fullback made himself a menace for Jack Grealish on Wednesday, refusing to leave the player’s side.
Coufal Asks Fredericks Not To Render An Apology To Grealish
The two were engaged in a squabble during West Ham’s 3-1 triumph as well, one which both go at loggerheads after Grealish adjudged Coufal to have fouled him nastily. And Coufal clearly didn’t take kindly to the feud as was evident in his actions later in the showdown.
Trying to win the ball from Grealish, Coufal’s counterpart, Ryan Fredericks ended up hacking Grealish to the ground. Quick to realise his mistake, the West Ham defender headed Grealish’s way to tend an apology for his misconduct.
It was then when Vladimir Coufal decided to intervene. Pushing Fredericks away from Grealish, Coufal asked his peer to rein back his apology in what transpired as a hilarious moment on the pitch.
West Ham’s sensational performance on the night meanwhile saw them record their fourth win in their last five matches. The side is fast making its name in the jostle for a top 4 spot with the team currently sitting on the periphery of the Champions League sports in fifth place.
