WATCH: Yuzvendra Chahal fears bowling to Rohit Sharma in Indian Premier League

Yuzvendra Chahal fears bowling to Rohit Sharma: The Indian spinner admitted to having issues while bowling to India’s vice-captain in the IPL.

Before India started experimenting with their bowling unit in T20Is, spinners in Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav had formed a settled pair in cricket’s shortest format.

While both of them are again part of the Indian team, they are yet to feature in the same playing XI. The last time both Chahal and Kuldeep played a T20I together was the second T20I of India’s tour of England last year.

Speaking to T20I vice-captain Rohit Sharma during a rapid fire round uploaded on BCCI’s website, both the spinners were seen giving some hilarious answers.

For starters, both Chahal and Yadav consider rookie all-rounder Shivam Dube as the worst dancer in the current Indian team. Being asked about the worst hairstyle, Chahal highlighted fast bowler Mohammed Shami.

It is worth mentioning that this wasn’t the only question where Shami’s name was mentioned. Being asked to mimic an Indian player, Yadav didn’t hesitate to recite a story with respect to Shami. On the other hand, Chahal ended up mimicking Sharma in front of him.

Much like Shami, Sharma also got named twice. The second time his name came up was when Chahal admitted to having issues while bowling against him in the Indian Premier League.

“As far as the IPL is concerned, I’ll take your [Rohit Sharma] name. Everyone says that when you are [batting] at 20-25, it becomes very difficult [to stop you]. You hit shots to all parts of the ground,” Chahal was quoted as saying.

Impressed by praise from the leg-spinner, Sharma joked about taking him for dinner “I’ve to take him for dinner tonight,” Sharma said jokingly.

“I really find it difficult to bowl to him…”

Yadav, who had a mediocre IPL 2019, considered Mumbai Indians batsman Suryakumar Yadav as the most difficult bowler to bowl against with acknowledgement from Sharma. “Suryakumar Yadav, he’s in great form in domestic cricket. I find it really difficult to bowl to him,” Yadav said. Watch the full video below:

The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title. When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
