Club football was back to its business this weekend after an international break. Moreover with the transfer season getting over, most of the new signings got minutes on the field. Here is a weekly roundup of Premier League: Week 4.

 

Sunderland vs Everton

Score: 0-3

Romelu Lukaku’s hatrick helped Everton get all 3 points and push them to third in the league table.

 

Swansea vs Chelsea

Score: 2-2

Chelsea’s Diego Costa scored a brace, sandwiching both of Swansea’s goals to avoid Antonio Conte’s first defeat as Chelsea’s manager.

Manchester United vs Manchester City

Score: 1-2

Pep Guardiola’s tactics was instrumental in City returning with 3 points from Old Trafford

In the derby, which was anticipated even more owing to the rivalry of Jose and Pep, the sky blues emerged victorious. KDB played a crucial role in both the City goals. City has now sent a clear message to title aspirants.

Arsenal vs Southampton

Score: 2-1

Arsenal came from behind, with the Spaniard Santi Cazorla requiring an injury time penalty to seal the three points for the Gunners.

West Ham United vs Watford

Score: 2-4

It was a goal fest at the Olympic Stadium. The Hammers went 2 goals in front, but Watford retorted well by scoring 4 goals. Troy Deeney was instrumental in pulling of this incredible comeback. The stadium also witnessed a few unwarranted incidents, as the home fans were dissatisfied by the seating arrangements and their home team’s performances.

Liverpool vs Leicester City

Score: 4-1

Liverpool demolished the Champions at their first game at Anfield. Roberto Firmino scored a brace. The Reds have had an incredible start to the campaign with wins over Arsenal (away), Leicester and a point against Spurs (away).

Stoke City vs Tottenham

Score: 0-4

Spurs eased to a victory at the Britannia Stadium with Son Heung-min scoring twice and Harry Kane getting his name on the score sheet for the first time this season.

Middlesbrough vs Crystal Palace

Score: 1-2

The summer signings of Crystal Palace, Wilfried Zaha and Christain Benteke scored a goal each as the visitors emerged victorious.

Burnley vs Hull City

Score: 1-1

Robert Snodgrass scored a brilliant last-gasp free-kick to ensure Hull earned a 1-1 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor.

Bournemouth vs West Brom

Score: 1-0

Bournemouth gets the first win of the season, thanks to a Callum Wilson’s stunner. Loanee Wilshere was introduced after an hour mark, and he made an instant impact for the home team by playing a key role in controlling the midfield.
