It has now emerged that the number is likely headed to Brazil International, Willian instead.

Speaking to Brazilian TV show Desimpedidos, Willian claimed: ‘I was offered the number 10 jersey ahead of next season and I will take it.’

Willian wore the number 10 at the recently concluded Copa America. He has also worn the number at both Shakhtar Donetsk and Anzhi Makhachkala before coming to Chelsea. It appears now, that he will inherit Eden Hazard’s number 10 jersey as well. This means that Christian Pulisic will probably be given the number 22 he previously wore at Borussia Dortmund. The number is currently in possession of Willian but should be vacated soon, once he takes over the number 10.

Willian is currently in Brazil as he continues to rest and recover from the Copa America as well as rehab a minor hamstring injury.
