Kimi Raikkonen ignored Nicole Kidman when the duo met in 2017, as he did not find it necessary to talk to someone just because they were famous.
Kimi Raikkonen is well known for his rather eccentric behaviour off the track, one where he doesn’t quite behave in the way the world expect people to.
The world is full of pretentious people who try and fit into worldly norms through their behaviour and actions and Kimi is certainly not one of them.
He speaks his mind, sees the world as it is meant to be seen and is pretty blunt with his replies.
While that may account as eccentric behaviour, but that is largely because how other people try and adhere to a particular type of behaviour, especially in public.
The incident from Kimi Raikkonen’s meeting with Nicole Kidman highlights the fact that Kimi isn’t quite governed by worldly norms and follows what he considers is right.
When Nicole Kidman had visited the Ferrari paddock in 2017, she met Vettel and Raikkonen, but did not receive a lot of warmth and affection from Kimi, leave aside any fanboy moment.
Kimi was as cold as he could be and effectively ignored the Hollywood star to her face. Maybe he was a little nervous or maybe he didn’t quite care about it too much.

Raikkonen’s new book is going to reveal a lot of secrets about Kimi’s life. And while this isn’t a secret of massive proportions, F1 fans have been a little curious about what actually happened to Kimi when he saw Kidman.
Raikkonen had a pretty simple answer to it, one that actually makes a lot of sense.
” I don’t know her, why would i talk to someone just because they are famous?” Raikkonen told the writer of his book when quizzed about the incident.
Kimi is currently enjoying his summer break but will be back in action for Ferrari this weekend at Spa, with an imminent contract extension announcement to follow.
