Best defenders in FIFA 20: Which defenders you should take in FIFA 20 career mode

Best defenders in FIFA 20: Which defenders should one opt in the new edition of the FIFA 20 career mode as the player ratings are out.

FIFA 20’s release is just around the corner, and the Top 100 players’ ratings in the FIFA 20 by the EA Sports are out ahead of the release at the end of this month. There are certain shifts in the order compared to last year’s ratings.

Lionel Messi has taken a step ahead of his long-term rival Cristiano Ronaldo, as he receives 94 rating in FIFA 20 and Ronaldo falls by a point to 93.

Lat year, both the players had same rating at 94, but this time the Argentine International stands taller among all the superstars in the new edition.

Coming to defenders, Virgil Van Dijk, the sensational player of Liverpool, who recently won the UEFA player of the year against both Ronaldo and Messi has been rewarded 90 rating, highest among all the defenders.

As Van Dijk has officially been rated as the best defender in the game, we know that he will be the most picked up defender in the career mode of the FIFA 20.

Beyond it, we will name other highly rated defenders which can be opted in your career mode in the latest FIFA 20, which will be released at the end of this month.

  7. Toby Alderweireld- 87
  8. Aymeric Laporte- 87

Most of the defenders over here are centre-backs, as they have recently dominated the game, and the prominent fullbacks have not received that high ratings in FIFA 20 to be included in this list. Thus, there is a lack of variety.

The most highly rated fullback in this list is Joshua Kimmich at 86 followed by Andy Robertson at 85.
