Will Buxton posts controversial tweet on Max, Max responds and Buxton apologises
Max Verstappen had a pretty eventful Brazilian GP, showcasing that the Red Bull was faster than Mercedes and Ferrari and then colliding with Ocon to give the lead back to Hamilton and losing out on a very precious grand prix win.
Ocon, who was trying to un lap himself, was blamed to the core by Max, as he felt Ocon shouldn’t have tried racing the race leader, especially when he would have anyways been overtaken a couple of laps later.
Now, a fortnight later, the F1 fraternity is back in action, with Abu Dhabi hosting the last race of the season.
Max, of course, has been subjected to a lot of questions regarding the incident, with Will Buxton asking him about how he could have dealt with it differently.
Max said that in hindsight he would have done nothing different and instead Ocon should have probably tweaked his approach a little bit.
Tell you what. Max ain’t over it. Not one bit. Doubled down on it being intentional on Ocon’s part. Blimey.

Now, Will Buxton was called out by the Racing lines editor in the press conference for having put out a tweet about Max not being entirely over the collision.
Max replied saying that he didn’t care what people put up on twitter and that he did not say anything about not being over the incident.
“I’m not interested what people on Twitter say. Did I say that? No.” Max said during the press conference.
Will Buxton later took to Twitter to clarify his tweet, apologising to Max and all his fans, as Buxton read a little too much into Max’s reaction.
“Could and probably should have been clearer with this tweet that it was my inference of his reaction to a question which I had pitched to him on the basis of an answer he’d given and that in not reacting with a simple rebuttal I’d taken the nuanced reaction to mean something.” Buxton clarified.
“Media pen is an odd place. We discussed it after the fact and all crews agreed he’d gone down a certain path. I’ve known and interviewed Max for a long time. He plays the game as well as anyone I’ve seen. Never gives you much. Toys with you. But perhaps I read too much into it.” he added.

How do you think Max would fare in the final race of the season?
