Wolves Vs Arsenal Lineups : Arsenal’s predicted Lineup vs Wolves

Wolves Vs Arsenal Lineups: The SportsRush brings you Arsenal’s predicted lineup against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Arsenal suffered shocking defeat in the hands of Crystal Palace, but they will turn their focus to the next game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday. The Gunners’ superior home record was wiped away by Roy Hodgson’s men who were with total conviction and exploited the weak backline.

Wolves possess an extraordinary record against the top six sides in the English top division. Nuno Santo’s side have lost just three games against the box six in the Premiership, but their record against the teams in the bottom half of the table have let them down. They are tied with Everton on 49 points, but goal difference separates these two sides. Since the seventh-placed team will be able to take part in the Europa League, they will be desperate for that spot to keep some of their stars for the next season.

Arsenal were pushed down to the fifth spot by Chelsea, who secured a draw against Burnley on Monday night. Albeit slipping down, they will have a chance to reclaim the fourth spot, possibly even third place, should Tottenham Hotspur fail to win their game against Brighton and Hove Albion today. Unai Emery will know that he would get a good transfer budget only if he manages to qualify for the Champions League and will be desperate to finish in the top four spot irrespective of the outcome in the Europa League.

In the reverse fixture, an early goal from Ivan Cavaleiro was canceled out Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s strike in the 89th minute to level parity. We shall look at the team news and predicted lineup for the much-awaited clash on Wednesday.

Team News

Arsenal manager Unai Emery confirmed that their key midfielder Aaron Ramsey will continue to sit on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury during the Europa League victory over Napoli. On-loan from Barcelona, Denis Suarez also appears to have picked up an injury, whilst Granit Xhaka is most likely to face late fitness test after the Gunners boss declined to reveal the information out.

When he was asked about the availability of the Switzerland International, Emery said: “I want to keep all information to myself for tomorrow. Sorry, I think it’s better for us. Aaron Ramsey cannot play. Denis Suarez cannot play.”

Long term absentees Danny Welbeck, Hector Bellerin, and Rob Holding will miss this key fixture as well.

“It also depends on other teams’ results. At the beginning it’s in our hands if we win. We want to be intelligent. On Sunday, we didn’t win but maybe today we can say that one point was important on Sunday.

“Maybe that can happen in the next matches. We will prepare to win but we can win, draw or lose. The first situation for us is in our hands if we win, but then we’re going to play difficult matches.” Unai said of top four spot.

Predicted Lineup

Arsenal: Bernd Leno, Ainsley Maitland Niles, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Nacho Monreal, Seal Kolasinac, Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira, Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
