The promotion will tape two pay per views that weekend, the first of which will be their first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view, titled NWA In Power on August 28. The second will be the NWA 73rd Anniversary show, titled NWA 73, and will take place on Sunday, August 29.

Mickie James announced as executive producer for NWA’s upcoming all-women’s PPV

Former WWE Star and 6-time Women’s Champion Mickie James was announced as the executive producer for women’s pay-per-view. James revealed that she had been looking to do something like this for a very long time but had been “cut off at every opportunity,”

She also thanked Corgan for allowing her to handle the women’s pay-per-view and show that women’s wrestling can draw  money, and deserves to be on the same top-of-the-marquee spot as men’s wrestling. James went on to add that she was looking to  bring in the best women in the world even if they were under contract with other companies.

It is unlikely that the WWE will allow their performers in the event. However, we may see AEW talent in the pay per view considering the working relationship between the promotions.

Serena Deeb recently fought at NWA’s When Our Shadows Fall pay-per-view this past weekend where she lost the NWA World Women’s Champion to Kamille.

It will be interesting to see which wrestlers from other promotions compete in the event.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
