Kenny Omega responds to a fan on social media who says he shouldn’t be AEW Champion. The Cleaner beat Jon Moxley on Wednesday to claim the title.
Kenny Omega has been a star since his NJPW days. The Cleaner has long been considered one of if not the best wrestler in the world today. During his rise in Japan, it was obvious to many that he was a future IWGP champion and the then Bullet Club leader fulfilled his destiny overcoming long time nemesis Kazuchika Okada at Dominion.

Following his move to AEW, many earmarked him for a world champion run. After all, he is undoubtedly their most talented in-ring performer. It took a while however, Omega prevailed against Jon Moxley at Winter is Coming to become the new AEW Champion.
While many jumped in joy and excitement about what the future holds, there was one fan in particular who wasn’t too keen seeing Omega with the belt due to his status as AEW’s executive vice-president. The fan added that there would have been an uproar if this was Triple H instead.

“Hold up. Can someone tell me why The EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF AEW @KennyOmegamanX is AEW World Champion,” the fan wrote. “If this was triple h people would be in an uproar. But Because its @AEW they are allowed to get away with it? Hell No.”
“You’ve got it all wrong. I’m just a lowly Executive Best Wrestler of all time. That’s kinda why I win everything everywhere,” Omega replied. “That’s how life works.”

Not impressed with his answer, the fan told Omega that he was abusing his powers as EVP.
“My Point is if you’re someone in power you should not be world champion,” the fan responded.
To which Omega simply replied:
“The only power I have is to make you cry.”

Omega has long teased a heel turn. The turn was solidified during his championship win when he hit Moxley in the head with a microphone.
There are some wrestlers who work better as bad guys. Omega is one of them. He rose to the top in Japan by being an obnoxious heel who backed his words and going by the conversation above, that Kenny Omega is what we’re likely going to get to see in the coming days.
