Former NXT Champion set to make main roster debut at WWE Royal Rumble 2021
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that former NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley was scheduled to move to the main roster two weeks ago. However, those plans were delayed and she is now expected to make her debut at Royal Rumble instead.
“Rhea Ripley is on the main roster. She was gonna debut a couple of weeks ago and they put it off for a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks is now. Debuting her as a surprise in the Rumble and winning the Rumble, that just makes sense.” Meltzer said.
It has long been speculated that Bianca Belair will take the Royal Rumble and face Sasha Banks at Wrestlemania. This just adds more intrigue to the competition. It will be interesting to see if this does happen because whether she wins the Rumble or not Ripley will definitely add to either of RAW or SmackDown’s women division.
