“They couldn’t call any of the shots, but I listened. They had some really good ideas. Really smart, individually, and Shawn, very smart when he was sober. Shawn had an attitude. When he drank, even more so, on top of pills… Shawn would say the wrong thing at the wrong time and he was protected in the WWE environment, but outside of that environment shakes head.

“Shawn owes his life to ‘Triple H’ Paul Levesque. Owes his life to him.”

Triple H also spoke about how troublesome Shawn Michaels was outside the ring but he couldn’t part ways with him because he was like a brother to him.

“His moment of existence was the 20 minutes in the ring every night. He wouldn’t be messed up. He would go in there and kill it every night. Then, the minute he was done mimics taking a pill ‘I’m in pain and I took some stuff so I wouldn’t be in pain this morning but I’m not messed up,’”.

“‘Why would you hang out with this misery 24/?’ No, it’s not. Again, it’s like your brother. It’s like a family member.”

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
