The Undertaker admits to using steroids during his WWE Career

The Undertaker admits to using steroids during his WWE Career. The Legendary wrestler also spoke about the pressure to be jacked.

The WWE is very different today then it was a couple of decades back. Today we have wrestlers of believable sizes taking to the ring and succeeding. Back then however, to make a name for yourself, it seemed that you had to be of a certain size.

Think Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Kevin Nash and several other main eventers. It was almost taken for granted that one had to have a certain look to be taken seriously.

WWE Legend, the Undertaker disagrees with the idea. He does admit though that the mindset existed within the wrestlers. While doing so however, the Phenom revealed that he used to take steroids to be jacked.

The Undertaker admits to using steroids during his WWE Career

“There was a time where everyone had to be big, jacked, right,” The Undertaker said on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. “Especially the 6ft 8in guys, the big guys – there was a stigma, you’ve got to be 300 pounds.

“It’s in our head – nobody gives a st. They’re interested in the characters and what you do on TV. But in our heads, “fk, I’ve gotta be 330 pounds.”

“Now, we’re tested for everything,” he continued. “They test for steroids – they have for a while. “Which I don’t understand because there’s some big motherf***ers out there and cut.

“And I don’t know how they did it – I couldn’t get that big when I was on steroids.”

The Undertaker also discussed the WWE’s drug policy and how strict it is.

“Before I switched my contracts and now I’m not a talent, now I’m a “legend,” The Undertaker revealed. “I guess. I’d only work two or three times a year.

“This is at the end of my career, but I was still under a regular contract.

“So under a regular contract – this is if you’ve tested clean – you have to have four mandatory p**s tests and two blood tests every year.”

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
