Ricochet deletes tweet about WWE Superstar after fan backlash

Ricochet deletes tweet about WWE Superstar after fan backlash. The former United States Champion caught the ire of fans with viral tweet.

Vanity is part of the work when it comes to wrestling. If you don’t believe that you are the best at what you do then why are you even there? However, putting one of your colleague down in order to do so espescially when you’re supposed to be the good guy? That’s a big no no.

WWE Superstar Ricochet learned that the hard way when he stirred the pot by slandering former NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai. All this began when WWE’a official Twitter posted a tweet asking fans to name the best high-flyer in the company right now.

“There’s literally no one who can do what I do and how I do it. But I’ll let y’all discuss.”

A fan got into an argument with the former United States Champion and suggested that Io Shirai was a good choice. Ricochet acknowledged that she was good at what she did. However, he added that while he could everything she did and better, she couldn’t even do half of what he could.

“I’m not saying she’s not amazing, She 100% is. But I can do EVERYTHING she can, probably even better. She can’t do what I am capable of, maybe not even half.”

Naturally, this did not sit too well with fans who made their displeasure known. It was not long after that Ricochet decided to delete his tweet.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
