“That’s my proudest body of work in WWE”: The Undertaker discusses his favorite Wrestlemania match and what made it so special.

The Undertaker discusses his favorite Wrestlemania match

The Undertaker has had 27 matches at the Showcase of the immortals. He has won 25 of them and lost two. There have been a few duds in there such as his match against Giant Gonzalez. However, there have been much more classics and Taker knows exactly which one he enjoyed the most.

“When pressed for one particular match, it would have to be WrestleMania 25 against Shawn Michaels,” The Undertaker said in a fan Q&A with Sony India. “The match quality, the storyline, this is one of the greatest matches that I was part of. I think Shawn Michaels probably is the greatest in-ring wrestler of all time.

“This match here starts off a four-match series- the two with Shawn where I ended up retiring him next year, and then Triple H comes into the picture to take up from his friend. And it all ends up with Triple H, Shawn Michaels and myself at the top of the stage after 4 match series together. That was the end of an era and that’s my proudest body of work in WWE. Those four WrestleMania’s.”

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
