The Great Khali took the world by storm from his very first appearance itself. The seven footer was a sight to behold. Never before had fans seen the Undertaker get manhandled the way this Indian Giant was doing. It truly was a remarkable way to announce your arrival to the WWE Universe.

Khali made his WWE debut on the SmackDown after Wrestlemania 22. He interferred in the match between the Undertaker and Mark Henry, dwarfing both men and assaulting the deadman. He discussed this very moment while speaking with Rewind Recap Relive revealing the interesting advice he receieved from Vince McMahon and Michael Hayes.

“Vince said, ‘I want to debut you’ but he didn’t say who is my opponent. He gives me a call and says, ‘come to TV after WrestleMania.’ Same day, Michael Hayes said, ‘You have a big day. You need to go out during Mark Henry and fighting and you need to ‘Kill the The Undertaker.’
“I was so happy. ‘He tried to explain and Vince said, ‘Yes! Kill him hard! Not easy.’ That moment was really great. All the world knew who was Great Khali. I want to thank Vince McMahon and WWE for making Great Khali. I appreciate Vince McMahon and WWE.”
The Great Khali is a former World Heavyweight Champion, winning a a twenty-man battle royal was held for the title on 20 July 2007 edition of SmackDown. He held the title for 61 days, losing it to Dave Batista in a triple threat match also involving Rey Mysterio at Unforgiven that year. Khali was recently inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2021.
