SummerSlam is considered one of the top three events hosted by WWE every year. Since it’s the company’s biggest pay-per-view of the summer, the booking decisions tend to be more significant. Last year’s main event saw Brock Lesnar lifting the ring with a tractor while fighting Roman Reigns for the undisputed title. According to a recent report, this year won’t be different. In fact, SummerSlam 2023 might end up featuring a successful Money in the Bank cash-in.
The 2023 SummerSlam is scheduled to take place from the Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on August 5. As of yet, WWE hasn’t announced a single match for the pay-per-view. That shouldn’t be a surprise because there are still three months left for the show.
However, it seems that WWE is planning a big shocker for the fans at this year’s SummerSlam. And if the above report is true, a new champion might get crowned at the pay-per-view.
WWE considering booking a successful Money In The Bank cash-in at SummerSlam 2023
Recently, WrestlingBlog made a Twitter post shedding light on the latest plans WWE has for its biggest event of the summer. According to the report, the current plan is to make the 2023 Money In The Bank winner cash in the briefcase at SummerSlam.
As a matter of fact, the cash-in is going to be a successful one. That means at SummerSlam 2023, fans might see a new champion being crowned via Money In The Bank cash-in. Although nothing was stated about whether it will be men’s or women’s, the plan, right now, is to have a successful cash-in.
“One of my sources has mentioned to me that there’s a current plan of potentially having the money In the bank winner cashing in at SummerSlam, according to my source the current plan is to have a successful cashing in with the briefcase and winning the title…”

Well, it’s good to know that WWE is giving serious thought to the money-in-the-bank winners this year. The prestigious of the briefcase has decreased in recent years.
WWE apparently has no plans for Roman Reigns to be at this year’s Money In The Bank
For the first time in history, WWE is going international for its Money In The Bank PPV. The event, set to take place on Saturday, July 1, 2023, will be hosted at The O2 Arena in London, England. It’s worth noting that since 2002, this is WWE’s first big show in London.
However, despite the event being so important, so far, WWE hasn’t advertised its biggest name for it. And it’s none other than “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns. Reportedly, the Undisputed Champion will not travel to London for the 2023 Money In The Bank.

Nevertheless, by now, WWE has made it clear that Roman Reigns won’t be losing his titles anytime soon. Therefore, it will be interesting to see on which champion will the Money In The Bank be cashed-in on at SummerSlam 2023.
