WWE Reportedly Discussing Major Plans For Becky Lynch And Trish Stratus

This month, the biggest news from WWE’s women’s division was Trish Stratus turning on Becky Lynch. “The Man”, alongside Lita, was supposed to defend their tag team titles against Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan on the April 10 RAW. Sadly, “The Queen of Extreme” was put out of action by an unknown assailant backstage. All of that led to “The Quintessential Diva” stepping up as her replacement.

However, instead of being a help, the substitute turned out to be a nightmare for “The Man”. Later that night, the duo failed to retain their tag team gold. Not just that, fans also saw Trish Stratus attacking Becky Lynch after that match.

Well, the heel turn of the WWE Hall of Famer was surprising but not that much of a shocker. Dirt sheets have been reporting that same for over two months. In fact, there were rumors that WWE wanted to do that angle even before WrestleMania 39.

Considering the past reports and what transpired earlier this month, a big Becky Lynch versus Trish Stratus match seems to be in the works. And if a recent report is true, the feud might also include a championship.

WrestlingBlog, through a recent Tweet, provided some major details about the ongoing feud between the women. The report claimed there have been discussions about putting a championship on Trish Stratus. The idea for her is to have a title run leading to a match against The Man.

So far, other than that, there are no details available about the whole feud. As a matter of fact, it’s unknown which title The Quintessential Diva might end up holding. But the above plan has been discussed backstage, according to WrestlingBlog.

When can fans expect to see the dream match between The Man and The Quintessential Diva?

Although as of yet, there has been no official confirmation, reports suggest Becky Lynch versus Trish Stratus will happen at some point this summer. To be more precise, according to Dave Meltzer, at the 2023 SummerSlam.

“Yeah, they’re going to do a match at SummerSlam…” he stated in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter earlier this month.

Nevertheless, this year’s SummerSlam has been scheduled to take place in the month of August. There are still three months left which means, fans can expect a few twists and turns before Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus finally face each other.

So the plan is to do Becky Lynch vs Trish Stratus as Summerslam 2023, per Dave Meltzer.
