WWE SummerSlam: Title match announced for the biggest pay per view of the Summer

WWE SummerSlam: Title match announced for the biggest pay per view of the Summer tonight on Raw. The Supercard will take place next month.

As SummerSlam inches closer, the matches on the card slowly unfold. So far, we have, 5 matches on the card. Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar, Becky Lynch vs Natalya Neidhart, Shane McMahon vs Kevin McMahon, Bayley Vs Ember Moon and Kofi Kingston Vs Randy Orton. We can now add another match to this list.

The WWE held a gauntlet match tonight to determine AJ Styles’ opponent for SummerSlam. The gauntlet featured Rey Mysterio, Cesaro, Ricochet, Sami Zayn and SmackDown Live’s Andrade. The match began with Mysterio and Cesaro in the ring.

5 men Gauntlet match

The Swiss Cyborg and Mysterio wrestled a fast pace exciting match before Mysterio hit him with a 619 and a springboard splash to win the match.

Sami Zayn was next. The former NXT champion tried to finish the match quickly with a Helluva kick. However, Mysterio ducked out of the way and caught him with a small package. He then pinned him for a quick fall.

Andrade then came out next. Together the two created magic at SmackDown earlier this year. This one was not as good as the one’s they’ve had before but it was still a good encounter. Andrade won the match but proceeded to beat Mysterio further and attacked his mask.

Ricochet, the fifth participant came in for the save. It was heartening to see Cole call them both the future of WWE. Ricochet came out victorious after pinning Andrade. The resident superhero of WWE will face for the United States Champion at SummerSlam in a rematch of their epic clash at Extreme Rules. However, something has to be said of Ricochet winning the gauntlet coming from the last spot.

A better story would have been Ricochet coming out earlier, beaten down with nothing but the will to extract revenge on AJ Styles keeping him up. It was still a good match though and hopefully AJ Styles vs Ricochet performs even better than their Extreme Rules match.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
