Vince McMahon’s controversial return to WWE has caused a domino effect. The WWE mogul kicked off the new year by returning to his company as the Executive Chairman. McMahon was previously forced into retirement after his alleged sexual misconduct with multiple women was unearthed. It was reported last year that he allegedly paid multiple women millions of dollars in hush money to bury his sexual affairs. However, McMahon appears unfazed by the allegations, as he eventually returned. One of the primary objectives of his return was to facilitate WWE’s sale.
According to a report by Dazn, WWE is reportedly sold to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Following the news, former CO-CEO Stephanie McMahon resigned from her services. While the company and its employees are in a state of quandary, UFC’s greatest trash-talker Chael Sonnen made claims that he would buy WWE after he retires from fighting.
Chael Sonnen wants to buy WWE after he retired from MMA
UFC’s “Bad Guy” has a history of getting people’s goats. In the past, Chael Sonnen has interminably trolled John Cena on Twitter. Amidst WWE’s controversial situation, TMZ reported that Sonnen is seeking to buy WWE once he retired from his MMA career. Chael’s rep made it clear that the UFC fighter is serious about his statement.
He also added that Chael is meeting with his affluent friends in the investment world to get the ball rolling. However, a WWE rep rained on Chael’s parade when told TMZ that the company is not for sale. The rep added that WWE is a publicly-traded company and that Chael is welcome to purchase shares of WWE stock and become their “valued shareholder”.

“HUGE retirement plans for mega-rich UFC fighter Chael Sonnen — he tells TMZ, he wants to buy the WWE when he quits fighting … a company valued at more than half a BILLION dollars. And Chael’s rep insists he’s not joking, telling us, “It is 100% Chael’s intent to buy the WWE.”
Stephanie McMahon reportedly had problems working with Vince McMahon
A report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that there was friction between Stephanie McMahon and her father. Although Stephanie McMahon claimed her retirement was because she wanted to spend more time with her family, Dave Meltzer noted that Stephanie had “issues” working with her father.
The report also stated Nick Khan was a “buffer” who kept operations “smooth” between Triple H and Vince McMahon. With so many changes in effect, fans are already speculating that Vince McMahon is the backseat driver of the Creative Team, even though Triple H is still the Chief Content Officer.
The resignation of @stephaniemcmahon is a huge loss to the wrestling industry! She taught me so much inside & out of the ring. Noone can fill her shoes and her legacy will not be forgotten.

“It was also conceded that she and Vince did have issues in working together as family members, and how Khan was a buffer who kept things smooth between them as well as between Vince and Levesque.”
