Vince McMahon is back in the WWE, but that is not all. He has since made public his desire to sell the WWE. Several prospective buyers have emerged. News even circulated that the WWE had agreed a deal in principle with The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through their Public Investment Fund. However, the rumors were soon debunked, and the company is still up for grabs to anyone that can reach an agreement with Vince McMahon. There are a few interesting names in the running, one of whom, is rival promotion owner, Tony Khan of AEW.

Tony Khan is the son of Pakistani-American billionaire businessman and sports tycoon Shahid Khan. He already owns the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL) and Fulham F.C. of the Premier League and has a staggering net worth of $12 billion, which makes him more than eligible to outright purchase the WWE.
WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has no qualms regarding Khan’s ability to buy his rival promotion. Although, he did profess doubts over his and his son’s ability to run the promotion as smoothly as Vince and Co. have for over four decades.
Eric Bischoff discusses the possibility of Tony Khan purchasing WWE from Vince McMahon
Eric Bischoff bought up rumors of the Khan family buying WWE on his “83 Weeks” podcast. He claimed that doing so would be a massive move. He said that he couldn’t see it happening but conceded that anything was possible, although, he did bring up the lack of experience, knowledge and infrastructure on the Khan’s side to run a promotion of WWE’s magnitude.
“Acquiring WWE is, that’s a big, giant move,” Bischoff said. “I don’t see it. Now, could it happen? Sure, anything is possible. But if you really think about it, does the Khan enterprise have the experience, knowledge, infrastructure, ability to run a company as complex as WWE? … They may be in the same business, but they don’t live and play in the same universe.”
Bischoff has been very critical of the way Tony Khan runs AEW. It is only natural, then, for him to doubt his ability to take on WWE as a booker and promoter.
Interestingly, Bischoff was at the helm of WCW, WWE’s last big competitor before the emergence of AEW, and watched the promotion crumble before Vince McMahon purchased it and added it to WWE.
Where do Triple H and Stephanie McMahon stand regarding Vince McMahon’s decision to sell WWE?
It was originally reported that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon did not approve of Vince McMahon selling the WWE. However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has since claimed that the Husband and wife are actually open to the sale because they believe it will get rid of Vince McMahon’s share and dilute his power within the company.
They were reportedly aware that the Executive Chairman could engineer a comeback any time he desired on the back of his position as the controlling stockholder.
However, they are neither actively pushing for the sale nor are they in opposition of it.
