Once again, the ongoing xQc & Adept controversy unfolds a new angle, but this time, things aren’t very bright for one of the world’s biggest streamers xQc. The Canadian streamer may soon end up serving jail time over a recently filed lawsuit by her ex-girlfriend Samantha, a.k.a Adept. According to recent reports, she has filed a ‘Temporary E-Parte Protective order (OCA L24)’ against Félix Lengyel, a grave allegation. Hence, xQc could potentially end up behind bars.
For those unfamiliar, it’s been a while since both streamers parted ways after making allegations against each other. In the past, Adept accused Félix of violating court orders by appearing in the middle of his live stream. Which disclosed their marriage to the online community, and now they are up for a divorce.
Soon, the Canadian Twitch star refused all the claims against him, saying they were never married. Adept revealed that she and Félix had been married for three years. Let’s dig further into Adept’s lawsuit and what it holds for xQc.
Adept’s lawsuit against xQc
Earlier today, streamer and YouTuber Henry Resilient addressed this ongoing controversy. Henry showcased a copy of Adept’s lawsuit against Félix on his live stream.
The lawsuit document is clearly visible on the 26-minute timestamp; go through it. Adept filed it on June 9th, mentioning Adept as a ‘petitioner’ and Félix as a “respondent.” Further, this case has a hearing date of June 21st, as it’s written ‘Protective Order Hearing (1:30 PM)’.
Here’s what Henry says, explaining the lawsuit, “This is how serious it can get, this is how far it can go, this is how he could potentially end up in Jail.” He adds that Félix can’t fight this protection order, as it’ll be granted anyway, even without proof. Further, Henry explains why it is so, saying, “It has to be granted to eliminate liability on the judge.”
What does the future hold for Félix?
While it’s a difficult time for xQc, it’s also too early to conclude the entire situation. Moreover, Félix’s future strongly depends on the court’s hearing scheduled for June 21st. The streamer could end up behind bars if the court finds him guilty of all charges. It’s advisable to wait until then and take everything you hear with a grain of salt.
