Tavares came out in support of the club on Twitter
Defeated 4-1 by Manchester City on Sunday, Liverpool all but saw the curtains come down on their title fight this season. With the deficit between them and the top of the table opening up to a colossal ten points, Liverpool’s season is now resigned to scrounging for fourth place.
While the defeat left the club’s ardent supporters dismayed and disgruntled, what particularly drew their ire was the lack of a bite from the club on the night. The side was royally humbled by City, a match where they never managed to really ask questions of their counterparts.
It was in this time of plight and gloom that Fabinho’s wife, Rebeca Tavares decide to show her continued support of the club. Rebeca who is known to often voice her opinion on the club, took to Twitter to showcase her staunch support of the side.
Rebeca Tavares Questions Supporter
Taking to Twitter to show her continued faith in Liverpool ensuing the defeat, Rebeca Tavares wrote “YNWA” on Twitter. However, one Liverpool supporter, Captain Hendo was having none of it as replied, “Not now Rebeca.”
Tavares was left miffed by the reply though as she retorted back strongly to hit out at the supporter’s loyalty.
“Why not?! YNWA only works when they win?! You must all understand that #ynwa it’s for all circumstances , winning or loosing. And believe me, they need it more now!,” Rebecca rebutted on Twitter.
This wasn’t the only fallout from the affair unfortunately. Jurgen Klopp was involved in a distasteful exchange with a reporter during his presser with the Liverpool manager decided to smear the reporter’s question for no rhyme and reason.
Liverpool who next take on Leicester City know that the forthcoming matchup is a must win one for them. With Chelsea just the one point behind them, another defeat for Liverpool could see them losing out on a potential Champions League spot as well.
