The midfielder has across the last season been heavily linked to the club
Despite spending heavily across the course of the last couple of seasons, Manchester United have continued to be heavily linked to a slew of names. Its down to the side’s persistent underachieving with new names always being needed to try and mitigate the side’s plight.
Apart from Jadon Sancho, one name who has been constantly been linked to the club is England’s Jack Grealish. The player’s sensational form across the last couple of seasons has seen him become hot property with Manchester United set to be spearheading the list of clubs slated to sign him.
Grealish Opens Up On Transfer Talk
Despite being on the cusp of making a move for him last season, the side failed to indulge in his services. Speaking to Harry Pinero recently, Jack Grealish provided a funny take on the entire situation.
Asked about why he had not moved to the club, Grealish provided a hilarious answer.
Grealish replied with: “You’ve got Bruno anyway!”
“That’s not true. I do some alright touches but you need to put a bit of respect on Bruno and KDB,” Grealish continued.
Manchester United would do well with the player’s services with the side’s current barren run infront of goal showing the club’s incapability infront of goal. The side has won just once in its last four ties ahead of its showdown with league leaders Manchester City.
Ole Discusses Team’s Debacle
Speaking ahead of the derby tie, Ole talked about his team’s dwindling form.
“I don’t worry. I can only control what’s happening here at Man United and there’s so many differences between the clubs,” Solskjaer said.
“If it’s the clubs you talk about, I can sit here and talk about a lot.
“At the moment they’re the only team ahead of us. Of course we want to try and claw back points on them and get closer to them.
“They’ve gone through a fantastic spell at the moment, great form, 21 wins.
“We’ve had 21 away games in the league unbeaten, so one record is going to be broken, so let’s see which one it is.”
It is likely to be City celebrating on derby day if United repeat their Selhurst Park performance given Solskjaer’s side looked tired and failed to impose themselves.
“When you get the results that you get, sometimes you tend to forget about the performances,” he said.
“Yeah, the West Brom game wasn’t the best quality but we felt there’s improvement to be made on that one.”
