4. The Rock vs John Cena – WrestleMania 29
Even though this showdown belied the ‘Once in a Lifetime’ moniker in their match at Wrestlemania 28, nothing could take away from the overall match. Add to this, this match was for the coveted WWE Championship. Cena had won the Royal Rumble that year, giving him a shot at the Rock and also a chance to avenge his loss last year.
Following the several verbal jousts preceding the match, the showdown did not disappoint. Both superstars exchanged, mimicked and kicked out of each other’s signature moves. The intensity of this bout can be estimated from the fact that the Rock sustained serious injuries during the fight which Cena won eventually.
