5 deals that could go through before Thursday’s Premier League transfer deadline. With teams scrambling for players, here are the 5 likeliest deals that could happen by tomorrow 5 pm.
The English transfer window is at its end and many teams have used it efficiently to bolster their squad and, in some cases, even overhaul it. There have been plenty big money signings and several club records have been broken including the world record for the price of a defender.

While most teams are more or less settled, there are still some teams who are hoping to make that last-minute additions and iron out their team before the new season takes place on August 9th. Here are 5 deals that could go through before Thursday’s Premier League transfer deadline.
Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace to Everton)
Wilfried Zaha has made it evidently clear to Crystal Palace that he wants to move to a top 6 club. One that could possibly help him play in the Champions League. He had made it known that Arsenal was his desired destination. However, Palace’s evaluation of £80m for their star asset meant the North London side turned their attention elsewhere.
It is now Everton who are actively pursuing him. Sky Sports have reported that Everton have bid £70million, plus two players for Zaha. However, Palace are adamant in their demand for north of £80m. As good as Zaha is, the price he is being valued at is insane. There are far better players out there in that price range. Without European football though, Everton will find it hard to convince players to join them and Zaha will obviously prove to be an upgrade. With just another day to go, it is likely that Everton will bend to Crystal Palace’s demands.
Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham to Tottenham)
If Tottenham were not involved in pushing more pressing transfer options, this would have certainly excited their fans. However, Ryan Sessegnon is still a fascinating prospect for the London side. Sessegnon plays as a left back but can also play as a left winger.
At only 19, he already seems world class, or at least close to it. With one year left on his current contract, an original £50 million valuation has been practically halved. Sessegnon is a consummate professional who, at a time when others like Lukaku, Neymar and Griezmann have sulked for transfers, has remained rather quiet and not made a fuss about his move. And this is despite playing for a club that frankly is below his standards.
Tottenham and Sessegnon would be perfect for each other in the sense, Spurs would greatly benefit from his versatility. Sessegnon would also vastly develop under Pochettino’s keen eyes. It is the Tottenham boss after all, who helped develop the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Ali after all.
Daniele Rugani (Juventus to Arsenal)
Arsenal have made a few key signings this summer. However, they are still in the hunt for defenders. The move will have to be a loan on account of the Gunners exhausting their transfer budget already. They are looking to sign RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano or Juventus’ Daniele Rugani. However, Upamecano’s deal has proven to be very complicated and they have turned all their attention towards Rugani now.
Daniele Rugani is a promising Italian Centre back who plays for Juventus. He is a tall, tactically versatile player who is good in the air, both offensively and defensively. He is a very correct player in the sense that he prefers to avoid challenges and instead restricts his opponents through positioning. However, Rugani has struggled for game time at Juventus, making only 20 appearances last season.
Arsenal believe that Rugani could prove to be invaluable. To that end, they have even offered to take the centre back on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy. However, Juventus have turned down the offer despite bringing in Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax. Concerns over Giorgio Chiellini’s fitness have meant that Sarri is uneasy over letting Rugani leave.
However, in what should come as good news to Arsenal fans, Standard Sport have reported that Rugani is eager to join the club. A £70,000-a-week basic wage has already been agreed with Rugani have yet to be confirmed.
Paulo Dybala (Juventus to Tottenham)
Another Juventus star could move to the Premier League this summer and this time, to Arsenal’s local rival Tottenham. Paulo Dybala was linked with Manchester United earlier with reports suggesting that the Argentine would move to United and Romelu Lukaku would head the opposite way. However, United have decided to move away after complications concerning his image rights and his exorbitant price.
Tottenham on the other hand, were linked with Barcelona’s Phil Coutinho. However, with both the clubs unable to come to an agreement and the transfer deadline quickly approaching, Spurs have decided to invest their time in Dybala.
The Guardian have reported that Tottenham have agreed to pay £70m for the Argentine’s signatures. The deal should be announced as soon as Dybala and Tottenham come to an agreement over his wages and image rights.
Kieran Tierney (Celtic to Arsenal)
The Celtic Left back has been chased by Arsenal all summer long.
Arsenal have a very fragile back four and are in desperate need to bolster their defensive line. They have had two bids declined so far. However, reports suggest that Arsenal are confident of landing Tierney before the transfer window closes and the Scotsman is very likely to replace his Celtic Green stripes for the Red of London.
Celtic head coach Neil Lennon said that he was expecting a third bid soon.
“I know these deals can get done at a minute to twelve,” Lennon said. “I’d be surprised if there wasn’t another offer for Kieran, but delighted.
“He’ll be fit in a week or two. He still has some adductor pain, but I think the pubic problem is starting to settle and he’s over the double hernia.”
Arsenal and Celtic are apart on their valuation of the left-back. Celtic are demanding around £25m for the defender. However, Arsenal’s offer only reaches their asking price through additional clauses. Football London have reported that Arsenal will make a third and final bid for Tierney before Thursday’s 5pm deadline.
