5 records which Virat Kohli can break during West Indies ODIs

2) Most runs against West Indies

In 34 ODIs against West Indies, Kohli has scored 1,912 runs at an average of 70.81 and a strike rate of 96.27 including seven centuries and 10 half-centuries. The Indian skipper is currently at the second position when it comes to scoring most runs against West Indies in ODIs.

The top spot is held by former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad. In 64 ODIs against West Indies, Miandad had scored 1,930 runs at an average of 33.85 and a strike rate of 63.78 including a century and 12 half-centuries.

Kohli will be able to go past Miandad if he scored 31 runs in the next two ODIs. The fact that Kohli has played just over half the matches Miandad had played against West Indies speaks highly about the pace with which the Indian captain has scored runs against the given opposition.

Among the current players after Kohli is India vice-captain Rohit Sharma. In 28 ODIs against West Indies, Sharma has scored 1,237 runs at an average of 61.85 and a strike rate of 90.55 including two centuries and 10 half-centuries.
