Stephen Curry’s skills on the basketball are second to none, with the Warriors man having almost revolutionised NBA with his ball handling and shooting skills.

But it is the man off the court that makes Curry such a lovable personality.
The complete family man and just a humble gentleman, Curry is known to treat his fans with love and respect, as they keep him going during times of despair.
Now, a recent fan interaction that Curry had with a 9 year old girl is what has caught the attention of the entire NBA fraternity.
Steph’s sneakers, the Curry 5’s weren’t available on the Under Armour website under the ‘girls’ section, something that deeply upset 9 year old Riley Morrison.
She decided that she wasn’t just going to sit back and cry over the fact that she couldn’t wear Steph’s sneakers, but instead write to him about this glitch/negligence.
Little did she know that the 2 time MVP would reply back with a wonderful message for her.
The young girl wanted Steph to know that she was a massive fan and was aware that Curry was all for woman athletes, especially because he too has two daughters.
She wanted Curry to know about the glitch on the Under Armour website and that even girls want to rock the Curry 5’s.
Curry was kind enough to send her a reply and also promised to send her a pair of the Curry 5’s and the Curry 6(whenever they arrive).
He even promised her a fun evening out on the International Women’s day in March, and asked her to come to Oakland to celebrate it with him.
👧 A 9-year old girl called Riley Morrison was disappointed to see that she couldn’t buy her favourite @StephenCurry30 trainers.
📝 She then wrote to @StephenCurry30 asking why his trainers don’t come in girls sizes.

Good on ya Riley and Steph. This is how we grow. An issue is noticed, called out respectfully (extremely respectfully), and change is made for the better. Great to see!

As a a girls’ wrestling coach, but more importantly as one who believes in equality, thank you! Thank you for being a light, a voice for change and justice, and one that my son and daughter can look to and emulate! Bless you and thank you!
