Twitter reactions on David Warner’s fantastic century vs Bangladesh in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019
Twitter reactions on David Warner’s fantastic century: Twitter was exhilarated at watching the Australian batsman play a fantastic innings.
During the 26th match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between Australia and Bangladesh at Trent Bridge, Australia opening batsman David Warner registered his 16th ODI century to put Australia in a formidable position.
After Australia captain Aaron Finch won the toss and chose to bat, he and Warner stitched a 121-run opening partnership to once again ease pressure off their middle-order.
Warner, who played the dominant role in the partnership, seemed to have left behind him instincts of playing the anchor role for Australia. The sight of him playing his natural game would have been relishing for the Australian team management.
Out of Australia’s 53 runs in the first powerplay, Warner scored 26*. On the last delivery of the 15th over, Warner ran a single off Bangladesh fast bowler Rubel Hossain to complete his half-century.
Not incorporating a major change in his batting, Warner played in the same manner after Finch (53) got out in the 21st over. Warner’s century eventually came in the 33rd over when he ran a single off Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.
With a significant amount of numbers remaining in the innings, Warner would be looking to convert the innings into a daddy hundred.

David Warner feels like he’s spent the whole tournament short of his best, and his strike rate of 79 so far is peculiarly slow. But has 2 centuries so far and feels like there’s more to come
