Jos Butler misses simple stumping dismissal: The English wicket-keeper was medicore behind the stumps against Australia.
Australian Coach Justin Langer praised England’s keeper Batsman Jos Butler ahead of their World Cup clash against Australia. Langer revealed that he loved watching him bat and even compared his finishing ability with that of veteran Indian wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
“Jos [Buttler] is an unbelievable player. I love watching him bat. He is the new Dhoni of world cricket” Langer was quoted as saying.
The Australian further admitted that Butler was an amazing talent. But also expressed his desire to see him fail when they face each other. “I hope he gets a duck in this (Tuesday’s) game obviously. But I saw him at Somerset and he is an unbelievable athlete and an incredible finisher,” Langer added.
When Dhoni had just started his career, he spoke about he wanted to be just like legendary wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist. In a lot of ways, he was just like him, and in some, he even surpassed the glorious Australian legend.

During England’s match against Australia yesterday, Buttler failed to stood tall on the expectations behind the wickets. On the first ball of the 27th over, Australia batsman Usman Khawaja was beaten all ends up by an Adil Rashid delivery.
Having said that, Buttler didn’t manage to collect the ball in the first attempt. As a result, comprehensively missed a chance to send back the Australian southpaw. Khawaja, who was batting at 9* at that moment, ended up scoring 23 (29) with the help of one four.
