Neymar Transfer News: Real Madrid to compete with Barcelona for the Brazilian forward according to recent reports.

Real Madrid are reportedly in the hunt for PSG Superstar Neymar. The Brazilian forward is reportedly looking for a way out of the Parisian Club however, PSG’s strained relationship with the Catalans means that they have little to no desire doing business with them. Therefore, any club that is willing to pay the price set by PSG will be automatically preferred over the Spanish Champion.

Sky Sports have reported that Real Madrid are ready to lock horns with Barcelona for Neymar’s signatures. They have dubbed the potential bidding war between the two Spanish giants as the ‘Transfer battle of the summer’. However, Madrid have already spent almost all of their transfer budget already. They will have to move out a number of players to gather the funds required to force a transfer of this magnitude.

Barcelona calling

Barcelona intend to add Neymar to an already stacked attack that could also include French striker Antoine Griezmann. They are hoping to offload Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic and Samuel Umtiti this summer and hope to get substantial fees for them.

PSG’s sporting director Leonardo has already confirmed that Barcelona have contacted them about signing the Brazil star. However, he also said: “We have not seen that Barcelona are truly in a position to buy him. A move of this magnitude is not just a question of emotions. It is a financial question.”

Neymar is easily one of the best players in the world. He is arguably only behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Neymar has already made his desire to leave PSG known. The Brazil Star reportedly called Barcelona his home and expressed regret over leaving the club.
