TNPL 2019 Owners: List of all Tamil Nadu Premier League team Owners

Here is the list of current Tamil Nadu Premier League teams owners. 

Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) is a stage for the young cricketers to showcase their talent. Since the games are telecasted, scouts from various IPL side take notes of their displays and sign them during the auction.

Last season, Siechem Madurai Panthers spinner Varun Chakravarthy was unplayable throughout the tournament. He played a significant part in Madurai’s league triumph last season. Witnessing his talent, Kings XI Punjab signed him for Rs 8.40 crore. Even though he was not up to scratch, there is no dubiety over his bowling skills, which can escalate while training with some of the world’s best.

Washington Sundar was well-known even before his Tamil Nadu Premier League debut, but he was totally dominant. His performances in this league prompted Royal Challengers Bangalore to break the bank.

There are nearly 200 players competing in this tournament. They strive to contribute to the team’s success. Varun Chakravarthy broke out of nowhere. Credit must go to the owners for backing his bowling ability, which came handy to their title victory.

Siechem Madurai Panthers, Chepauk Super Gillies, and Tuti Patriots have done their owners proud by getting their hands on the trophy. Every owner desires their side to touch that landmark and become part of the success.

OWNERS: 

Chepauk Super Gillies – Metronation Chennai Television Private Limited: 

Metronation Chennai Television Pvt Lmt have been owners of this team since the inception of the tournament. The famous ‘Dailythanthi’ newspaper, ‘DT Next’ news website, and Thanti TV are held by this firm. They witnessed their side lift tournament’s second edition.

Dindigul Dragons – TAKE Solutions:

Similar to CSG, TAKE Solutions took over Dindigul Dragons in 2016. The firm mainly concentrates on life sciences and Supply Chain Management. The yellows are yet to taste success in this tournament.

iDream Karaikudi Kaalai – iDream Cinemas and Properties: 

idream lmt is majorly a construction based company. They took over Karaikudi Kaalai last season and managed to finish in the top four. But, they failed to reach the final.

Jones Tuti Patriots –  Jones and Jay Yes Foundation: 

Jones Tuti Patriots’ ownership before last season when Jones and Jay Foundation took over from the hands of Albert Muralidharan, a TNCA member. The firm does the backend job for Yes Bank. They finished outside the playoffs spot for the first time in their history last season.

Lyca Kovai Kings – Lyca Productions: 

Lyca Kovai Kings was bought by Lyca productions in 2016. Lyca Productions are famous for their production of distribution of films in the entertainment department. They have qualified for the playoffs on all three occasions, but have failed to cross the semifinals.

Ruby Trichy Warriors – Ruby Builders:

Ruby builders took over Ruby Kanchi Veerans during the inaugural edition of the competition. However, they got their City named change to Trichy a year later. But, their low luck has always bitten them, failing to qualify for the playoffs on all three occasions. Ruby Builders are a construction based company.

Siechem Madurai Panthers – Siechem Technologies Pvt Lmt: 

Formerly known as Madurai Super Giant in the first two editions of the league, Siechem Technologies bought this side last summer. They renamed it to Siechem Madurai Panthers and straightforwardly were triumphant last campaign. Siechem Technologies are one of the best wires and cables manufacturers in India.

VB Kanchi Veerans – VB Chandrasekhar: 

Former Indian cricket VB Chandrasekhar is the owner of VB Kanchi Veerans. He bought the club named VB Thiruvallur Veerans in 2017, but quickly renamed to VB Kanchi Veerans – change of district name.
