Dwayne Bravo will be donning the iconic yellow of CSK in this year’s IPL, after the Chennai franchise retained him via the RTM card in the IPL mega auction last weekend.

Bravo has been a revelation in T20 cricket across the world, especially with his superlative death-bowling skills.
Bravo was ecstatic after being picked for CSK and called the franchise the ‘best in T20 cricket’.
The West Indian has played for Trinbago Knight Riders, Lahore Qalandars, Melbourne Renegades and Esses apart from CSK.
“Personally, it (CSK) are the best franchise that I have ever played for and I am looking forward to it and meeting up with our captain MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, (Ravindra) Jadeja and also to the newcomers who are now going to be new members of our family,” Bravo said.
“Harbhajan Singh, Ambati Rayudu (he played with them for MI) to just name a few guys who are going to join us and wear the Yellow jersey… can’t wait!,” he added.
CSK paid Rs 6.4 crore to secure the services of Dwayne Bravo for the next 3 years.
“I am very happy and excited to be back in Yellow. To all our CSK fans eagerly waiting… this IPL we are back,” the West Indian all-rounder said.
“The return of CSK to the IPL is a big one, a special one, a moment that a lot of people were waiting for,” he added.
Bravo has picked up 79 wickets for CSK and has scored 706 runs in his 5 years at CSK. He won the Purple Cap in 2013 and 2015.
Bravo felt that the IPL was poorer without CSK in the last two years!
“Chennai Super Kings are one of the most successful franchises in IPL history. Definitely, IPL without Chennai Super Kings, it didn’t have the same impact it had in the previous years,” he said.
Bravo is excited about playing under MS Dhoni again and also praised Lungi Ngidi, who would be playing his very first IPL.
“I think the return of CSK, you know, Dhoni again representing Chennai Super Kings, being the leader, the fan base, the fan following that we have in India and outside of India, they mean a lot” the Caribbean cricketer said.
“A young, talented fast bowler… I am very happy to be in the same team with him. I am looking forward to embracing him when he comes to represent the best franchise in the world,” Bravo conluded.
