India World Cup winner passes massive statement: Former India fast bowler states that the legendary cricketer can’t be ignored.

Former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni had made himself “unavailable” on the eve of the selection meeting for upcoming tour of West Indies. With Dhoni reportedly taking a two-month break, the 38-year old cricketer’s future remains unknown.

In a recent interview, former India captain Mohammed Azharuddin was vocal about the legendary cricket as he requested the latter to play aggressively. With Dhoni getting severely criticized for his low strike rate lately, Azharuddin laid emphasis on him playing his natural game.

“I just want to request him [MS Dhoni]. Whenever he plays, he should play aggressively. Sometimes, reflexes slow down after certain age. But, Dhoni, it does not appear that the reflexes are slow. If he plays his natural game more, I feel that will be good for India.

“He has taken rest for two months. May be, he will tell after that what he will do. I feel he will take the right decision whenever it is to be taken,” Azharuddin said.

Among the many former cricketers who are opining on Dhoni is former India fast bowler Munaf Patel. Speaking on a TV channel, Patel talked about how BCCI haven’t revealed full details of Dhoni’s future plans in addition to throwing accolades at Dhoni, under whom he played 43 out of his 86 international matches across formats.

“He [MS Dhoni] has his own planning. He must have told the BCCI but not all things are revealed. Dhoni doesn’t need anybody to tell him what to do. He has done so much for the country. What West Indies have achieved since 1975, Dhoni has done it in a few years [2007-15]. He has won us all trophies. You can’t ignore him just like that,” Patel said.
