When and where to watch Dindigul vs Chepauk: TNPL 2019 has entered its most important stage. Qualifying round starts tomorrow.

The ongoing fourth season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League has entered its most important stage. The first qualifier of the tournament will be played between Dindigul Dragons and Chepauk Super Gillies at Tirunelveli tomorrow.

The fact that the Top Four of the tournament got decided in the last over of the league stage speaks highly of the intensely fought competition in the recent days. It was Kanchi Veerans’ 7-wicket victory over Ruby Trichy Warriors which saw them attaining a better run rate then Lyca Kovai Kings to qualify as the fourth ranked team.

Chasing a modest 122-run target, Veerans won on the back their captain Baba Aparajith scoring 50* (39) with the help of one four and four sixes. Earlier, it was a clinical performance from their bowlers who restricted the opposition to 121/7 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.

Other than Dindigul, Chepauk and Kanchi Veerans, Madurai Panthers have qualified as the Top Four teams. Having won six out of the seven matches, Dragons ended the league stage as the top-ranked team.
