Chelsea 1-1 Leicester City: 4 talking points after Chelsea and Leicester City go home with a draw
Chelsea 1-0 Leicester City: 4 talking points after Chelsea win over Leicester City in the second round of the Premier League tonight.
Chelsea and Leicester City met at the Stamford Bridge to play an illustrious game, but unfortunately, the only outcome of the game was a draw as the Foxes levelled the score with a late strike by Wilfred Ndidi.
Chelsea were looking sharp and it seemed that they will take three points today, and register first win for Frank Lampard for Chelsea as a manager and that too in front of the home ground.
However, destiny had different plans, as Chelsea lost two points, and seemed less of a threat in the second half of the game. Although, Chelsea’s defence was its saving grace. Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen were good and had a robust performance.
Mason Mount, on the other hand, had a great game and showed the reason behind Lampard’s never-ending trust for the youngster. Mount even scored the first goal of the game to give a lead to the Blues.
With this, Chelsea overall had a decent game, but it needs to learn how to end the games on a positive note. With this the Sportsrush discusses 4 talking points after Chelsea 1-1 Leicester City.
#1 Frank Lampard’s first-half show

This is the third consecutive match where Chelsea had the upper hand in the first half, and horrendous in the second half. All three times, Chelsea have failed to win the match, despite dominating the initial phase of the game.
Frank Lampard needs to address this concern and should solve it before Chelsea start losing enough points that the top-4 finish seems impossible for the Blues.
Chelsea were not able to absorb the pressure and were near to concede the second goal at several instances but luck favoured them and the game remained at 1-1, and the Blues could only register 1 point at home.
Many times, Chelsea looked vulnerable, and it looked as if they were scared of conceding goals, and it probably made the Blues nervous at times.
